KZN PRACTICE - overview




















The Parent Practice was established in 1959 by the legend of the South African veterinary world, Dr Brian Baker. Now retired (but still doing acupuncture).


Dr John McVeigh (Scottish), the principal of our group of practices, joined in 1990 and he was re joined by Dr Manfred Rohwer (South African), as a partner, in 2008.


Dr Johnny Cave (Northern Irish) has been a Stalwart member of the group for 10 years.


Dr Mark Dittberner, Dr Patrick Martin, Dr George Kellett, Dr Jean-Charles Lepeudry and Dr Nicole Mouton  provide further experience to the veterinary team.


We offer a fully equipped, accredited Equine hospital and an extensive ambulatory service to racehorses, sport horses, polo ponies and the pleasure horse community in Kwa -Zulu Natal.


As a group, we provide sales vets at horse auctions throughout South Africa (TBA and Equimark), Goffs in Ireland, Tattersalls and Doncaster in England, Inglis in Australia, Keeneland,USA and Arcana Deauville and St Cloud, France.


We also vet Thoroughbred yearlings annually in Argentina, Brazil, Italy Germany, and Chile.
